Difference between software engineering and computer science

Some people get confused when it comes to talk about these two majors, I will give you a glimpse of what I know about this.  First, computer science is about the concepts and more like the theory of computers. for instance, algorithms and thesis about how to resolve problems using math and science stuff.  Software engineering  is the field that study the best practices to have a good process of coding, from the analysis, coding, testing and deploying of software products.  In conclusion, these two majors have something in common, the fundamentals, I mean the basic concepts of computers. However they have more differences than similarities, computer science is about studying computers concepts and solving problems using algorithms. In the other hand, software engineering is about how to improve the flow of coding applying best practices.  I hope my point of view help you to understand better these two majors.
